Biography of Chris Turner
Chris Turner is the author of Planet Simpson: How A Cartoon Masterpiece Documented an Era and Defined a Generation, which was published worldwide in the fall of 2004 to rave reviews and bestselling international sales. His culture and technology reporting for Shift Magazine earned him four National Magazine Awards from 1999 to 2003, including the 2001 President's Medal for General Excellence, the highest honour in Canadian magazine writing. His writing has also appeared in The Globe & Mail (Canada), The Guardian (UK), The Independent (UK), The Sunday Times (UK), Time Magazine, National Post Business, Utne Reader, The South China Morning Post, Good Weekend (Australia), and Adbusters.
He lives in Calgary, Canada, with his wife, photographer Ashley Bristowe, and their daughter, Sloane.
